Oak Grove Middle School
Construction Start: January 2004
Completed on: August 2005
Regional Office: Clearwater Office
Area: 167,000 square feet
Originally, in 1989, we were selected to construct an addition/renovation to the school’s library. Sixteen years later, we were selected to rebuild the entire school. This project began with the complete demolition of the existing structure. The final product is a beautiful, new 167,000 square foot Middle School with approximately 500 computers, wireless labs, audio-enhanced technology in each classroom, gymnasium, cafeteria with stage area, locker rooms, administrative areas, an atrium/lobby with clerestory to allow natural lighting, media center, and much more. Prior to the demolition of the old school, Peter R. Brown Construction, Inc. renovated the Druid Complex (directly behind Clearwater High School) for the administration portion of the school and built a 55 unit “portable city” for the students in the parking lot.
