Florida State University - General Classroom Building
Construction Start: September 2005
Completed on: December 2006
Regional Office: Tallahassee Office
Area: 100,000 square feet
The Florida State University Classroom Building is the only building on campus dedicated solely to classroom space. The building is four stories with large classroom auditoriums, medium to smaller sized classrooms, computer labs, student waiting areas, and other associated support spaces totaling approximately 100,000 square feet. Before construction of the new building could begin Peter R. Brown Construction, Inc. had to demo the Stults Aquatic Complex which consisted of locker rooms, an olympic sized pool and diving board. The building site is located behind the Student Union in the heart of Florida State University’s Campus. FSU is pleased with this new addition to their campus, offering students localized classrooms that offer more convenient classes.
